Empowering communities through knowledge acquisition and skill development plays a vital role in fostering sustainable growth and societal change. Islamic education, particularly within madrasas, has traditionally emphasized subjects like theology, jurisprudence, and philosophy, while modern social sciences have developed as distinct disciplines centered on empirical inquiry and the study of societal dynamics.
The research addresses the obstacles and opportunities in merging traditional Islamic education with modern social sciences to tackle global challenges effectively.
The purpose is to explore their methodologies, identify shared grounds, and recommend strategies to integrate Islamic and contemporary education paradigms within current academic systems.
This research adopts a qualitative methodology, utilizing content analysis, stakeholder interviews, and curriculum comparisons to investigate the alignment of these two educational approaches.
The analysis highlights overlapping themes and significant challenges while proposing reforms in curriculum design and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations to develop a cohesive educational framework.
