Examples of jurisprudential interpretations of Imam ibne Nujaim (970AH) through his book "Al-Bahr ul Raiq Explanation of Kanz ul Daqaiq" (Descriptive Analytical study)

Abstract

The Noble Qur’an is a book in which there is no doubt and no doubt, which was revealed by God Almighty to guide people, and in it there is guidance for every human being at every time and in all aspects of human life, including beliefs, worship, morals and dealings. It is a complete book that solves human problems and issues. God Almighty has taken the responsibility of its guardians, so it is preserved until the Day of Resurrection by various means. From this standpoint, many Muslim scholars exerted their efforts to memorize, understand, interpret and publish the Book of God, so they gave their lives to this Holy Book because of the benefits of religion and this world.

There is no doubt that the jurisprudential interpretation of the Qur’an has its status and value, because Sharia scholars have divided the topics of the Qur’an into three sections: the first part is related to belief, monotheism or the principles of religion, the second part is related to morals, and the third part is related to practical rulings, and these rulings are extracted from the Holy Qur’an. It is called jurisprudence of the Qur’an or the rulings of the Qur’an, in this sense this section is one-third of the Qur’an, so it cannot be dispensed with, and also because people need it in their worship, their dealings, their judgment, and all their actions, so that the Muslim will not be upright except by knowing those rulings in his life.

In view of this importance of the verses of rulings, the scholars, in advance and in succession, studied these verses under a specific method, which they called “the jurisprudential interpretations” or “the rulings of the Qur’an”.

In view of the importance of the book and the author of the book, I decided to choose it for research entitled: Interpretation of Imam Ibn Najim (d. 970 AH) for the verses of the rulings through his book “Al-Bahr Al-Raa’iq Sharh the Treasure of Minutes” (a descriptive and analytical study), where he collected the verses of the rulings contained in the book “Al-Bahr Al-Raa’iq” when explaining the provisions Sub-legitimacy, in addition to studying it and clarifying the deductions from it.
